What is Windows Experience Index (Win 7)

The Windows Experience Index (Win 7) is built into Windows 7 Operating System. This benchmark evaluates your notebook on five different areas; Processor, Memory (RAM), Graphics, Gaming Graphics, and Primary Hard Drive. The scale of the Windows Experience Index ranges from 1.0 to 7.9. A higher base score generally means that your computer will perform better and faster than a computer with a lower base score, especially when performing more advanced and resource-intensive tasks. Since the Windows Experience Index scale has increase to 7.9 compared to Windows Vista’s scale of 5.9, we encourage you to only submit Windows 7 scores here. You can learn how to access it here
