I've been up and down the forums trying to find out where I can find Dell parts on Dell's website. I want to replace the vid card in my new i6000 - preferably with a 256 6800 go, but I am not sure this is possible. At very least, get the 128mb version of the x300.
Recap:
1) Where does dell keep their parts catalog online?
2) Can a i6000 accept a 256 6800 go?
Someone help me out...I'd appreciate it.

Sometimes, you can find parts at http://www.parts-people.com/
Through Dell, you have to call: http://warrantypartsdirect.dell.com/us/program/T1421000.ASP
As for 2), no, I don't believe it's possible. Different form factors.

I'll confirm 2, there is no way the i6000d can use the 6800Go in its current form factor. At present the best GPU for it is the 128MB x300, future upgrades are dependant upon Dell release.

And the x300 may not work if you have the integrated card at the moment. Only upgrade you can do is from the 64mb x300 to the 128mb x300.

You can't upgrade from integrated to the x300 (either 64 or 128Mb) as the motherboards are different. The i6000 doesn't not have a connection/spot for a GPU like the i6000d.

I have the 64Mb, but it can't run anything. I feel dumb for not waiting and just jumping on the next 40% coupon and getting a 9300. Is dell hurting or what? This is the fourth time they've renewed the coupon.
