Guys,
Anyone knows if the Zalman 5.1 surround headphones ( http://www.zalmanusa.com/usa/product/view.asp?idx=110&code=023 ) will work with the Ferrari 4005?
I ask because there is 3 pins to connect (Center, rear, front) and my nb has only one port, so to put it to work I'll need something else?? I don't understand very much about headphones. There is any other headphone with 5.1 audio you can suggest?
Thanks,
Guilherme

Well then there's the (Speedlink) Medusa 5.1 headset. Also, I hear Sennheiser's top-of-the-line headsets have that 3D-thing but I'm not sure it's actual 5.1.

I think at this moment there isn't really any good headsets on the market. Every headset seems to have its weaknesses. But Sennheiser PC160 seems to be the high-end choice (and I think there's a PC165 also).

I hear Razer is going to make a headset soon. Wonder if it's gonna be any good?

You'll need something that will give you the 3 pin out for the Zalman, either the Zalman USB external 5.1 decoder or a Soundblaster PCMCIA card.

Also, in case you did not know this, most people say that you shouldn't buy those headsets with USB if you have got a really good sound card (for example the Creative Audigy 2 ZS PCMCIA or other). I've understood that those USB headsets have 'onboard' soundcards and they are targeted for LAN parties and such. Right now, I'm waiting for Creative to release an external X-fi soundcard because I'm using my laptop's integrated Realtek soundcard right now (can't use Creative PCMCIA because my new laptop's got ExpressCard slot which replaces the old PCMCIA slot).

So, many headsets come either with a USB-cable or with a regular cable (3.5mm miniplug or something). So if you have a good soundcard (Creative) I'd stay clear from USB headsets. I may be wrong here, but oh well...

Creative have made these 5.1 surround headphones - they have an external "digital surround filter" and only needs one minijack to connect - one which supports SPDIF or optical - as far as I know the Ferrari supports SPDIF, but not completely sure...

They cost around a $100 in Denmark, but our taxation of consumer products are 25% so you can probably get them cheaper in Brazil

Thanks, Fonzi.
25%!! Here in Brazil the average tax for eletronics is 45%, but those taxes are included in products price and sometimes you don't know it. Can you belive that? That's because our country is so FULL of rich people and the government brings us so much confort. (sarcastic)
However my brother is in Paris right now and he can buy it to me there.
Thanks for the info.
