Hi all,
I have 1Gb (two 512Mb sticks) of RAM installed on my laptop (Acer Aspire 1714SMi). I now want to upgrade it to 2Gb, which means I will take both 512 sticks off and will install two 1Gb new sticks, as it only has two slots.
The actual sticks are DDR333. Does anyone know if I can install DDR400 sticks on this laptop? Will it recognize it?
If so, which brands should I choose from?
BTW, plan on doing it myself: anything I should be aware of, or any special cares I should take on doing it?
