Why not have them deliver it to you at work?

Leave a note on the door for "UPS driver". Something to the effect of, "please leave my package on the stoop". They will do that for ya ;). UPS allways leaves my packages on the door. They will usually do that even if you don't leave the note. Fedex will usually only do that if they have your name on file as a "leave packages" customer. If you've signed that slip with fedex, then you should be on that list.

Well, if you're living in the city (Atlanta?), then would leaving it on your front step really be that wise? Can't you just arrange to pick it up at a specific UPS location after or before work?

They will ask for signiture In person all the time with dell shipments in ca...

Still havn't received some of my stuff, because i am never at home.

most shipments i have got from dell have been "signature required" and the laptops and computers are "adult signature required"

i think that you can try to leave a note but, im not sure it will work.

Best 'note' would be to print a copy of the 'tracking page' from the
Shipper's website and sign that, along with instructions where to leave it (behind AC, back porch, trusted neighbor etc.).
