Z80k and Linux

In order to install Ubuntu Linux amd64 version, do I need to have installed the 64-bit OS bios/drivers for the Z80k or are those bios/drivers for Windows XP-64 bit?

i dont know what you are talking about.

1) what do windows drivers have to do with ubuntu drivers

2) there is no such thing as a 64 bit bios, so dont worry about it.

i guess the answer you are looking for is, don't worry about your windows or your bios, just go ahead and install Ubuntu AMD64
