Is it possible to change the Inspiron 9200 into a 9300. Maybee not in every way but at least with more FSB. For example my system has 333 FSB 2.1 PM can I upgrade this processor into the Intel Pentium M 760 Dothan :awdance: 533MHz FSB :awdance: 2MB L2 Cache Socket 478 Processor ? they are both 478 socket. Would the memory need to be changed? What would need to happen or am I a dreamer. I just love my computer and from the looks of the new ones nothing really has changed except more bus. Also what about the video card? What would happen with a new 533 FSB cpu? :headbang: Is my mother board capable of doing this? Any suggestions would be very helpful. My wife will not let me buy a new one so I want to upgrade if possible.

My system configuration is Dell Inspiron 9200 1gig of memory, 100 gb HDD, 8 times DVD dual format, 128MB video 9700 pentium M 2.1 333 17" UXGA:Angel:

Need a new motherboard as they are completely different, and with the cost of a new motherboard, CPU, memory and GPU it would be cheaper getting a new laptop and eBaying the old one.

Also the GPU in the 9300 are not compatible as they use PCI-E while the 9200 used AGP so again a new motherboard is needed.

hmm socket 478 ? This is the same as the 9100 p4. What would happen if i put mine in there? Does the board need to have the correct chipset or can it be flashed into beliving its compatible?
