If i get an educational discount on a laptop can I still use a coupon at the check-out? I want to get the Inspiron 9300 with an educational discount & the $650 coupon.

Oh and when you customize a laptop it says 1GB 2 dimm. What does the 2 dimm mean? Does it mean that it comes with 2 memory chips of 512MB to equal 1GB, or what?

The coupon would have to be an EPP coupon a Dell Home or Small Business coupon will NOT work.

the 9300 has only 2 DIMM's each DIMM can only hold 1GB if Dell offered you a system that has 1gb occupying both dimms it means each stick has 512MB thus if you wanted to upgrade to 2GB then you would have to toss or sell both your older and smaller 512mb sticks.
