View Full Version : FUJITSU N5010 Pics and 3DMark03 Benchmark
Finally! Sorry for the delay, and this link is the only way I know how to post them. They'll take a while to download, but they're woth your wait. The link is: http://web2.airmail.net/fbcazle/our-history.html
A few words about the pics: The colors on my digital camera just don't do the 5010 justice. For example, in the first picture, the "FBC" is supposed to be bright yellow. Also, in the first and sixth photo, the flash went off (sorry) but even with the flash and the glossy screen, it still looks very nice. I took some close-ups to see the resolution and also notice that the blacks are extremely black. In fact, you'll notice it is as black as the black trim casing around the screen.
As for the benchmark, I only ran the 3dMark03 test --at default settings. The result was: 2581 Not spectacular by any standard, but still competant. The concerns of others are noted --the N5010 only has 64 megs of video memory, which will undoubtedly affect performance in some games. I can say, however, that on the games I've run, it works great, and I would gladly sacrifice a few frames per second for the visual experience the screen offers. Plus, I bought the unit for business as well as gaming. Still, if you're strictly looking for a hardcore gaming machine that will blow away anyone elses benchmark, you should probably look elsewhere.

nice you may want to peel off the stickers from your machine before they become too permanent do it gently and if needed use fingernails not something metal to help remove ... think there are some gentle solvents that help but personally i just use a "tiny" bit of water judiciously applied via a handtowel.

Yes, i too have seen the screen in person, absolutely beautiful, its amazing. But what also is amazing, is that top of the line companys like Sony and Alienware arent following suit and are still selling what are now below average screens. The fujitsu screen actually looks like a rear projection Tv with the glossy surface, its just brilliant looking.

That's a nice looking machine. Very clean lines. Too bad they didn't take advantage of the width available and put in a full size keyboard.
Marquisdarquis -- I agree! I love the unit --very well designed, very solid and clean. But if there were one recomendation I would make to Fujitsu for its next design update (other than more memory for the video card) it would be a full size keyboard. There does seem to be just enough room to place a full-size board, only they'd have to move the speakers somewhere else.

Can you post some pics of your notebook with the screen down? I want to see what the top looks like.
Thanks,
