what is pixel die

i have an acer 1694WLMI which work great but recently i notice that there were a black dots in screen (2 actually), is it a pixel die or does anyone encounter the same problem.

Probably a dead pixel or a stuck pixel.

does it will effect the rest of my LCD screen????

Yeah could be struck pixel Try rubbing it genlty with fingers .. if it dosnt dissaper it must be a dead pixel .. nothing much to worry it wont affect ur other pixels
