is there any way that i can upgrade my lcd screen that support higher resolutions

LCD screens on notebooks are never upgradeable, sorry. Depending on the GPU on your 1694, though, you could likely get an external LCD and run higher resolutions on _it_. Not much help when you're portable, of course, but could come in handy when more firmly planted...

If - and it's a big if - the connector for the screen is standard I don't see why you couldn't. If you're feeling lucky you could buy an lcd off ebay and try it.
