I have a Acer Aspire 3000 with a Mobile Amd Sempron 2600 processor. I was wanting to upgrade the processor but I am not sure on what processors would work on the motherboard. I was looking to get the this: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=80507&affiliate=yahoo
Would this processor work. Also is there a more powerful one that I might be able to get?

Also, would there be a heating problem with the original heatsink and fan?

I know this thread is old but hey I just upgraded my laptop from a Sempron 2800 to a turion ML-32 and all went well. I even at one time had an athlon 3200+ DTR in there but it ran to hot and the computer locked up. I have tried an athlon Mobile 3000+ with out issue but the fans runs on high alot.
