Im looking at the HP nc6000, IBM R50P, and Acer Ferrari. I love the acer ferrari because it has a lot of features for comparativelt little money, but it only has a 128 mb radeon 9200 :saywhat: (on a ferrari notebook  ). The nc6000 is a little overpriced in my opinion and the IBM R50P costs more than a voodoo env. I 'll go with the older radeon if it can run halo acceptably in XGA. I don;t care about benchmarks, just realworld performance on direct x 9 games. How will Halo and DirectX 9 games run (Im not a big gamer, but I want decent peroformance on games).

Halo definitely feels laggy with all the graphics turned up and the resolution maxed... it's playable though with options turned down ;)

Get that R50p or a T41p - You won't be disapointed (okay - I'm biased) :)

I would love the R50P, but it costs another $1000 more. I like the HP nc8000 too, but that is a little too large and a little too expensive.

Have any benchmarks?
I would have went with IBM but wanted at least 64mb graphics card.
