I just bought the 5672 myself yesterday from Compusa.. the 2GB ram model
with the 1.3 megapixel camera..

The only gripe i have so far on it after just playing with it one day is the built-in camera seems a little odd to me... when you turn it on and just look at yourself on the screen it seems it doesn't capture motion very fast... I could wave my hand in front of it and it takes like a second to respond and then you can see the motion blur as my hand is waving around - like it's only capturing 10 fps or something.. is this normal?

Also, looking at the Device Hardware listing for the laptop under 'Monitors'
It shows i have 1 plug-n-play monitor and 3 Default Monitors... uh huh?
I deleted 2 of the default monitors and rebooted - and they came back :)

And now I'm starting to wonder after reading some posts here that maybe I should reformat the system and put XP Pro on it instead of the dual partition setup that the 5672 comes with.. hmmmmmm....

So, far I like the system though..

Eric

Thanks!
Eric

Try changing the settings fot the camera. By default "low light boost" is selected and this makes the camera very slow. Hope this helps and if youve aready taken this option off then sorry.

Yes, like mendezj666 said, take off the low light boost. In fact, if you go into the advanced settings you can really tweak these cameras a LOT. The image comes out GREAT w/ a little work. You'll find you get to know these controls, what and how they work really quickly. Just like a point-and-shoot camera, you can leave it on "auto" and get mediocre shots, or "manual" and get great shots.

Re. the Device Manager settings, many PC's have what seem like 2 or 3 of the same device under a category. Not uncommon, that's Windows for ya!
