I thought it might be interesting to have a thread where you can post your Toshibas 3DMark 05 score.

Each reply should look like this: (With your own specs of course)

Model: Toshiba Satellite M70-144
CPU: Intel PM 740 1.73Ghz.
Memory: 512 MB DDR2 SO-DIMM 533mhz PC-4200
HDD: 60 GB 5400 RPM
GPU: Ati Mobility x700 128MB Dedicated, 128 shared.
OS: Windows XP Home edition.

3DMark 05 score: 3005 3Dmarks.

http://www.notebookforums.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=8546&stc=1&d=1141502836

Now post your scores! And remember only Toshiba nootbook scores!

how are you hitting that?.. some guys on here who have the M70-FE5 with 1Gig of RAM, same Processor spec and Vidcard spec are hitting lower numbers... even with Omega Drivers.... you overclocked your vidcard?

Lord^

Yeah it was clocked pretty high when i did that.

I'm getting 2 gb of RAM next week, i think that'll bring the score abit also :D

Incase you wondered about the overclock: i was running 440 on the core and 370 on the memory. The memory didn't seem to go any further..

i have a Toshiba Satellite A100-JH2 Centrino Core Duo T2300 with Radeon Mobility X1600 128MB.. I bench 2557 at factory clock speeds (400Core/370Mem), I haven't benched the overclock speeds yet but I know FEAR runs like butter in 1024x768... (500Core/450Mem)

I've always wondered how the numbers would compare between a integrated card and the dedicated ones and never could get an intelligent answer. Thanks or posting that.

Wow an order of magnitude difference. I think I might see if I can run it with my Intel Extreme GRaphics 2 just for sh!ts and giggles (and to help boost your ego :D )

you guys are getting some pretty decent scores out of those machines, my AW with its 6800 scores around 3600 in 05 and my dell with the monster 7800gtx takes in a score slightly over 7100. but for the video cards in those machines you should be proud and happy.

Yeah Fidget, you never miss a chance to boast around with your Dell, do you.

Anyway, that's a preety nice score you got there, lord. My M70 has the exactly same specs, but without OCing gets about 2600. How much do you get @ default?

LOL, you know how long it took me to run 3DMarks 05? The test was lagging the whole time. Barely made 1 fps on each test.

I'm not complaining though, I've gotten better marks since I've had this laptop

overclocking is the solution, but at the same time it removes your warranty if they find that you have been doing that, and the added heat will mean a dead laptop sooner...

How come you're only getting that score on those clocks? On my card at 236/400 it gets 2747. I havn't tried overclocking yet but what's with the low score?

No it doesn't, Guinnes bottled variants contain what is known as a rocket widget, this is used to kinda swirl the beer so that it has the proper guinness head as you pour it directly from the bottle to your mouth. This is made of plastic. The caned variety has a plastic ball, it operates on the same principle, but, from what people have told me it has nitrogen in it. Then when the can is opened up, the pressure gradiant force causes the ball to pop, <see hole in side.> thus releasing the nitrogen. I am not sure if this part is true or not, but the ball is most certainly plastic not iron. The cans are designed to be poured into a glass, and sit for a few <At least 5 minutes> prior to consumption. Just my 2 cents. Guinness is a really good beer. :) But it is most certainly an acquired taste... Well time to run, cheers.

I have them in a RAID 0 and I can't see a manufacturer anywhere. I tried dr. hardware and that didn't work either. I know that they sre bothe 120gb @ 5400 rpm. I wish I had the video card that you have. I changed my gpu clock and stop some services and squeezed out a few more points. -5025-

After upgrading the bios and catalyst drv from toshiba support the card is listed as having 512 mb of video memory - Hypermemory. I didn't bench before the bios update, so i'm not sure if the hypermemory makes any practical difference. any ideas?

Here's my new x205-sli1. On a whim I went out and bought it over the long weekend. Not the fastest lappy but pretty good for the price. The only things I changed are I installed a 160gb main drive and a 250gb secondary drive. Both still 5400 like the stock ones.

Funny that my 2001 score is so much lower than my 2003 score. I have a older XPS that I compared it too (2.33ghz C2D with 7900GTX) that was lower on everything except 2001. I know it doesn't mean much anymore but I always use it to see how CPU limited a machine is.

Toshiba totally stock-sli off
2001 16,751
2003 7,722
2005 ??? got 1,845, not sure what happened
2006 3,729

Toshiba highly tweaked, OC 650/925, sli-on
2001 25,233
2003 27,649
2005 12,100
2006 8,180

XPS totally stock
2001 33,515
2003 19,840
2005 8,655
2006 4,782

XPS tighly tweaked, OC 600/720

Core Duo T2300 - 1.66Ghz
1Gb Ram - 533Mhz

Just bought a Qosmio f30 with the same 7600 and in reviews that model hits 4000 in 3dmark 2005.

Why such a diference?
Qosmio f30
Core 2 Duo at 1.83Ghz
Gf go 7600 256 Mb Dedicated
200 Gb 4200pm
1Gb 667mhz

I know its suposed to be better but this much?
