Packet loss while using lan (8204)

Hi,
this morning I noticed that my 8204 didn't go into standby correctly last night, it loaded windows and the battery was drained.

I've used 100mbit lan without problems for a week but today packets started dropping, espcially on load changes. I can transfer files using 90% of the bandwidth without problems, when the transfer is stopped I get some timeouts though. Even loading a website with a few images seems to be enough. Sometimes they seem to happen at random.
I tried changing the cable, worked on another pc without problems though and the other cable didn't help...

If I disable MS QoS I get a hardware error after each timeout.

Has anybody experienced something similar?

Do you have the lan eeprom update?

Now I installed the 3309 BIOS update which didn't help.
After that I updated the LAN eeprom, this apparently helped. The update is pretty easy to do, every step is described on the website.

Pretty strange since it had worked perfectly before (wlan and lan). I'm not completely sure if the eeprom fix did it but it would be a big coincidence if it didn't..
