okay, I by no means consider myself the best person to review the Toshiba Satellite

I'll do my best, so please bear with me. I'll start off with the tech stats.

Battery life as tested,by the reviewer, with wi-fi off, just unplugging the laptop and watching a DVD is about 2 hours and 27 minutes.
This is a decent entertainment laptop. I wouldn't exactly catagorize it as a gameing laptop, though it is capable of gameing. I tested it with Battlefield 2. Almost all settings were set to low, but it ran without a hitch, on wireless no less, so it is an okay laptop. I ran 3dmark06 and got a score of 448. What follows is my personal opinions and should be taken as such.
The screen is large and bright. Watch ambient light sources though because glare is abundant with the shiney coating. The keyboard is large for a laptop, and the attached 10 key is a deffinate plus. The major downfall on this laptop is the touchscreen. It leaves a lot to be desired. It's small, the buttons are slightly painfull to use for long periods of time. The placement is wierd, slightly off to the left side of the laptop body. Cooling seems to be okay, and after hours of use the laptop only becomes slightly warm to the touch. I bought mine from the local best buy. I decided on buying their accidental damage protection plan. After review I found I should have just gotten the coverage through Toshiba because it would have been much cheaper and would have lasted longer, though I would have had to send it in to the factory to have it fixed. The sound out of the speakers is decent. Louder than what I first thought. The built in media controll buttons are awsome. This being my first laptop it's going to take a while to get used to the keyboard keyplacement. As of me writeing this I've only had the
laptop for 1 day, so this is just a preliminary review. I'll write a new one in a month after I've had more time with the machine. Untill then, happy computing!
