Okay so I'm going to tell my story from the beginning.
I get an i9300 around August/November. It's got an LG LCD, 1.87 Ghz Pentium M, 256mb stock RAM (I install 1 gig myself), and a 256mb Geforce 6800 Go. In about a month, the harddrive dies. Another month and the speakers get messed up. The tech subcontracter comes to replace them and he notices that the laptop is abnormally hot. He tinkers around and the video card dies. He gets Dell to replace the motherboard, videocard, and fans. Then I get another problem and Dell decides to just exchange my laptop.
I get the new laptop and lo and behold it is an E1705 2.0 Ghz Pentium Centrino Duo, 2x512mb Dual Channel DDR2 Ram, 80 Gb harddrive, and a 256mb Geforce 7800 Go. Needless to say I am happy. However I have 3 issues.
Issue #1: The new laptop has an Samsung LCD which looks like utter crap compared to my LG LCD. Can I make a switch between the 9300 and the E1705? The LCD on the 9300 connects to the board with the black cable to aux and the white cable to main. The LCD on the E1705 connects from the white cable to the aux and the black cable to the main. What happens if I mix up the cables?
Issue #2: The sound of each is clearly different. My old laptop has a very crisp clean nice sound but my new laptop has that phony sound. Is this a speaker or a driver issue? I tried switching speakers but one screw is worn so I can't take it out. From what I can see however, the models of the subwoofer and the speakers are the same.
Issue #3: The Geforce 7800 Go gets extremely hot, like 70 degrees Celcius while idling. Just going on Internet Explorer makes it go to 80 degrees Celcius. My Geforce go 6800 idles at 50 degrees celcius, after they replaced the fans and card.
PLEASE HELP I BEG OF YOU GUYS, I HAVE LITTLE TIME
