Can anybody PLEASE post their 3dmark05/06 scores on the SZ laptop and what specs you have AS SOON AS POSSIBLE?

I'm planning on picking up this notebook today if I can get some compairasons(sp). To my S360. Example: I can hit 1111pts in 3dmark05. I know its only a benchmark, but I'm going to be using this as a small backup laptop for my games and business while away and I cant take my XPS2 laptop. The s360 I have plays WoW (World of warcraft) ok with everything turned down and at 1280x800. I was looking at playing other games like Load of the rings 2 with th egraphics turned up, etc.

So far this 13.3in screen and video card seems to be the best choice.

I dont have any benchmarks, but I recently picked up this lappy and it runs WoW at the highest possible settings, smoother than any other computer ive had, including desktop. Hope that helps

I got to say I am not very impressed with the gaming aspect of this laptop it scores similarly to my older s460 with a 6200go. In 3dmark03 I scored a 2916 when my older s460 had scored a 2961. I might attribute this to the fact that my s460 had a 2.13 and the sz has a 1.83 but I figure the faster fsb and chipset should have made up for it. In comparason my Alienware with a 2ghz processor and the 6600go completely wiped out the sz at 7987 even though it was running last gen platform. Good thing I had purchased the SZ more for buisness and travel and very light gaming.

I need to try '03 bench. Its not bad now that I have it. I can really play wow at native resolution and at full gfx and still be in the the 30fps ballpark.

Can't really compare a 7400 to a 6600. The 7400 is a replacement for the 6200 and 6400. The replacement for the 6600 is the 7600. So if you wanted to compare the 6600 to a current generation, you'd have to find something with the 7600 in it.

Hi.

New to this board and this is my first post :)

Anyway, I have the sz280P (2GHz, 2GBRAM). I have not done any benchmarks nor ran games so far, but this is by far the best notebook, or PC i have had my hands on. I've had a couple laptops in the last couple months playing games and business, but this one blows them away at real world usage. I believe the games should run perfectly fine.

You've made a good choice with the vaio :)
