TravelMate 2423NWXCi-DVD writer

Hi,

I just bought a new one come with default combo DVD/CDRW. I want to upgrade to DVDR/RW-DL. Which model can this notebook BIOS recognise and able to use as a bootable? I tried with TEAC DV-W24E but BIOS can't recognized and hang during switch ON.

Is it any good? Have you any problems with it?

Thanks. but can it be used as a bootable and recognize by BIOS? Did you install before?
