Weird....
When I start up my computer on battery it wont even go to the "welcome" screen and just load to the "acer" wallpaper.
When I'm in windows and I pull the plug on the laptop the computer freeze's.
Any suggestions?

Looks like you may be losing a cell in the battery and the voltage is below operation need. I assume your unit is out of warranty?

Yeah just came out of warranty. If it's a battery problem then that really sucks....
I wonder if it's because of software that I have installed without properly checking what it does to the system. Perhaps a reformat might be better, I think I just compromised the OS.

I don't think it's a software issue. When did the warranty went out, if it's not too long, you might give them a call amd just tell them it happened while you're on a business trip and you just got back.

Reformatted, things are working now.
It was a software problem, thanks anyway though :)

JFvergara,
I'm glad the reformat worked. Any idea which program was causing that to happen?

Cool, glad you got it fixed. It may have been a corruption in the E-power management softweare afterall.

I absolutley have no idea, I am guessing it is the E-power management stuff. I'm considering uninstalling them and just using notebook hardware control.

I recently had the same problem again after reformat, I was just about to pull out the Visa to get another laptop until i figured out that it was the powerplay settings that was causing the strange behavior on startup.
I suppose it had something to do with Powerplay/Epowermangement and Ultramon (Secondary monitor software) that was really screwing up with my system, too bad though I cant underclock my GPU right now....
Perhaps I'll try NHC later, the last time I was using that software was when it was called CHC.
