I just got an A-Data My Flash 4GB Turbo SD card and it works fine in my PDA (Axim x51v) and in my desktop PC’s flash drive reader, but my Ferrari’s card reader is another story. It appears in Device Manager OK but when I try to access it via Windows Explorer I run into problems (it usually says the flash card in unformatted). And yes, it refuses to format.
Anyone have any ideas???
Thank!

I've had similar problems with the reader and an MMC card... Seems that it cannot read all types of cards. Read this thread

And one more note:
Acer themselves said in an email to me: "The card reader was not certified to read or write 4GB cards." Which isn't to say that 4gb cards won't work, but how much $$ does one have to spend in order to find one that does. Anyone out there have one that works??? I'm going to call Acer soon and ask what capacities the reader does support—sure would be nice if they bothered to publish this info to save us all a lot of time/money/hassle. Sheesh!

Wow, I was going to order the 4GB A-Data SD Card from Tiger Direct today, but if it doesn't work in the Ferrari I guess not. If anyone has a 4 GB SD Card that they've tried in the Ferrari please let us know the brand name. Thanks.

Yeah, that's the same card I bought and yes, it doesn't work. I've set up another post, a Poll, to find out what cards do work and to what capacity.

I have a 2 gig SD card that this reader can't read... using a usb adapter works fine, but the reader insists on formatting it everytime I stick it in, and if I do, it reports it as 1 gig
