I am putting together my order for a XPS M1210 and was wondering about the Cingular intergraded mobile broadband hook-up you can obtain. Has anyone purchased this optional equipment using Cingular as their provided. I have an account with Cingular now which includes unlimited download through media Net. Do I need a separate account to use this service with my new dell laptop?
Thanks

You'll have to subscribe to a different service through Cingular. It'll be on the same account though. Runs pretty steep though, about $70/mo for service that's not any faster than the slowest DSL.

If for some reason you think you can just pop your chip in and think it will work well.. It will work but after about a month cingular will realize your not using it on your cellphone due to your extremely odd usage pattern and charge you accordingly for it.

What about T-Mobile? It looks like they charge 20 a month for Wi-Fi access.. anyone use that for their service? I think thats far more reasonable if it works well. I can see paying 80 a month if your constantly traveling..but if your not its a bit of a rip off..

But it will only work at tmobile Hot spots such as most Starbucks which only works out well if you live in the city.

Ahhh..I was looking at their hot spots on the map..im in one of those areas where my house seems to be close enough if im outside but it says it probably won't work inside a building...
