Can't play dvds?

I reformatted my computer a week ago. I repaired media direct also but doesnt give me the option to play dvds now, I assume its because I need powerdvd? I requested this cd from dell also about a week ago so far I havent seen it, I have a feeling I'm not going to see it without another phone call :( Is there any other program I can download or pick up that would allow me to watch dvds on my laptop?

I reccomend VLC myself.
