I have a Dell 7500 Notebook. And when I hook up my notebook through the S-Video connection output on the back I get my normal computer on the TV. Now, When I go to play a movie .AVI / .MPEG/ .MPG/.MP4/Etc. Or even stream video off the internet it appears black where the video is supposed to be! I can hear the sound, Just cant see the video. I have installed all the codecs I need, So I am possitive that codecs are not a problem. I have had the same problem on my S-Video out on my normal PC and I fixed it though through my ATI software by letting the video card know that it was running on a TV. I have tryed to install the same software on my notebook but it didint let me install, So I dont know what to do and If you can please help me!

Definetly a software issue. You probabaly have some sort of clone mode on with the theater option enabled somewhere. Just toy with the settings also ensur eyou have the latest videocard drivers to lessen the problems.

no no no, i also had this rpoblem, chagne ur resolution to the lowest (800x600), and it came up. even on my massive wide screen plasma, u still need the lowest resloution, as tv's refresh rate are much slower, at first, i also thought was a software issue, so i tried powerdvd, instead of Window media player, jsut change resl down to the lowest, and u got it, d/w i was very stressed out on this also, as this tv is like a good model, wtf, sifn't no video come up!
