12/07/2004 (Edited July 13th by corevoice) I have a couple of things to say. First of all I recently purchased an Acer laptop from PcVideoOnline. I was fully under the impression at the time of purchase that I was buying a brand new Acer Travelmate 8204WLMi similar to what several of the other vendors on Pricegrabber were offering in the same general price range. I would gladly have spent the extra few dollars than to have ended up where I am today. My initial review of this company was prior to the following events. When I received an order confirmation e-mail that said to call the company I called and was told that the laptop would come in packaging that would say "reconditioned" but I was assured that the unit was corporate excess etc. and that it was a new unit. When the laptop arrived I inspected it and took pictures of it. The Intel Centrino sticker and the ATI sticker on the keyboard area are both noticibly peeling up, there is also a "Reconditioned" sticker on the bottom of the unit itself. The insid ......
This vendor currently is listing lowest price on pricegrabber. YOu get what you pay for I suppose.
How would you like this to be your 8204?
I would call the better business bureau and maybe file a police report for mail fraud. Completely unacceptable to be peddling big ticket items and trying to jack customers from afar.
