Got this laptop...I turned it on..I hear the machine running but nothing appears on the screen...I tried the Function CRT/LCD button...still no good...I tried connect the laptop to another monitor and still no good...Can anyone help me with this no display on the Dell Latitude X300 laptop?

Is it new? What exactly is the machine doing (ie are the num lock, caps, etc lighting up)?

I'm going to fancy a guess and say its the motherboard. Especially considering you can't get any video from the VGA port of the notebook.

Replacement boards run between $250 and $300. The expense is due to the fact that the X300's CPU is permanently affixed to the board and there is also some RAM built in as well.
