Hi all, I am hoping someone here can help. We reformatted our hard drive on our new E1505 because we wanted a clean install and were upgrading the OS to XP Pro. Everything went pretty well but we have 3 other devices listed in device manager that need drivers. They are only identified as base system devices. We have installed all the drivers we can find that apply to our system and everything is working as far as we can tell. Anyone have any clues or have a suggestion where to go from here?

Here are system particulars:
Inspiron E1505 Intel® Core™ Duo processor T2400 (2MB Cache/1.83GHz/667MHz FSB)
LCD Panel 15.4 inch UltraSharp; Wide Screen SXGA+ Display with TrueLife
Memory 1GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz, 2 Dimm
Video Card 256MB ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® X1400 HyperMemory™
Hard Drive 100GB 5400rpm SATA Hard Drive
Operating System Genuine Windows® XP Home
Network Card and Modem Integrated 10/100 Network Card and Modem
Adobe Software Adobe® Acrobat® Reader 6.0
Combo/DVD+RW Drives 8X CD/DVD Burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability
Sound Options Integrated Sound Blaster® Audigy™ HD Software Edition
Wireless Networking Cards Intel® PRO 3945 and Dell 350 Bluetooth Internal Wireless Cards
Primary Battery 53 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery

Thanks!

John

I had that prob too, it was the Ricoh chipset drivers on the dell site. Had to uninstall all 3 base system devices thru device manager , then install the Ricoh driver.

Richo Memory Stick Host Controller
Richo MMC Host Controller

And the three (!)devices are gone. Thanks pooldoc
