View Full Version : instantaneous reboot on acer 5652 pls help

hi guys. i just got my 5652 aspire and i have a problem. it seems that it will out of the sadden reboot. i think this happens whenever it is idle. any suggestions?

I would suggest that you make an acer restore as you have only just got it. To see if it cures the problem. When I got mine, every time it was starting up, Windows would inform me there was a disk/file error and ran checkdisk. After a week I wiped the original OS and re installed. I don't know who acer have that installs the OS on these machines but :cursing:
There are plenty of posts in here describing the acer restore oeration. Hope you get it fixed OK, as the 5652 is a great machine IMO .:)

thanks for the reply dave. it seems that some idiots left the "allow remote assistance on this computer" turned on. spydoctor found 88 infections. everything runs smoothly know

I would run memtest, sounds like it could be a faulty memory module.
or just some devices that need driver updates. My PC kept on rebooting outta no where, but once I installed omega drivers for my video card, everything ran smoothly.

Thats probably how they install everything at factory.:laughing: :laughing: Makes it easier to get all that useful spyware. Glad you got it all sorted
out.

yea i had a desktop that rebooted due to faulty ati drivers.. wiped them, never had a problem since, also your system isn't overheating is it? might be a failsafe
