Need HELP:Wireless connection Slow or no connection

Hey ya'll,

I just got a Dell E1505 and have had it about 3 days! I like the computer compaired to my Dell 6000 BUT my wireless connection is slow AND doesnt always connect! On the 1505 I have the Intel(R) Pro/wireless 3945ABG Network card and on my 6000 i believe i had a 2200 network card. The problem is my 6000 always found a connection and connected and my new 1505 struggles to find as many connections. ALSO when i am online it is slow, It is like i have to click the button 3 times before it goes or even sometimes it will just be slow!!

Is there anyway to fix my wireless card so i am not having this problem??

You need to be a bit more specific to your problem. You mention that you cannot connect to as many connections so i imagine your just bouncing on public or neighboring networks? How does your signal strength do on your own network? Updating drivers is always the first thing you can do to find better connections so give that a shot first. After the update browse into the cards settings and ensure you have optimal configurations set such as 100% transmit power and less aggressive roaming as examples.
