Buzzing sound

I have a strange low frequency buzzing sound coming from my monitor, when I have all sound shut off. It appears for instance if I run oblivion, at the start screen, some other games too I can hear this sound.

I have an XPS M170. Is there anyone else having this problem too? I assume the screen should be replaced, or is it anything else? Might it even be a replacement Dell XPS M1710? That would be the best for sure.

Buzzing could be lots of things. Can you isolate which part of the notebook makes the sound? Ideally telling us "I can hear it best in the mid section towards the right side" or that manner helps.

Actually I checked again and it seems like it is my AC Adapter when plugged in the sound comes from the tft screen, the bottom of the tft screen. However I called Dell and that guy thought it were strange that it were the AC adapter. He will send me a new one so I'll see if that works.

What if I have to send in my laptop, do you think Dell will fix it or replace it with a completely new one?

I've got a similar buzzing issue, only mine is isolated to my D/Dock. Has this horrid electrical shorting noise when my m1710 is docked and the battery reaches a full charge.

Oh and I've got that Oblivion buzz a little too.
