Ubuntu / XPS M170 Question

I never thought of this until now.. but I have a few questions.

1.) How can I change the XPS LED light color?
2.) How can I turn off the lights when I don't want them on?

I googled and found there is a post on the Dell forums regarding this but for some reason I am unable to access the Dell forums for reading (actually just signed up and verified).

You can do all this stuff in the BIOS. When your restarting the computer it tells you what button to press to enter the BIOS. I think it is either the delete key or F1 key.

What FPS do you get, on average, when you run glxgear on yr M170 with ubuntu?
I'm asking this, because i just wanted to compare how efficient the nvidia drivers are, across 2 different platforms.
I'm running FC5 on my 9300 with a 6800go, and i've been getting around ~7700FPS.
Would be cool if you could post your framerate too.
