Ok, one really annoying thing that i have found in my migration from XP to Ubuntu is that in firefox under windowx i use ALT + Back Arrow Key to to back in the web browser instead of going up to the back button, how do i do this in Ubuntu, or what are the short cut key strokes for it? Or is there a way i can map new shortcut keys?
Thanks for any help on this stupid little problem i have...hahah
EDIT** wait i find out that it is only my right ALT that does not work, the left ALT works fine, so i guess this is a bigger question of why Ubuntu is not detecting my keyboard correctly..... Ill have to look into this.

I just use the click gesture. You need to install one of the mouse gesture plugins and it will duplicate Opera's behavior. One you do you can do a quick right to left click and to go back and a quick left to right to go forward.

Ubuntu is probably detecting your keyboard right, If I remember right the keycodes for the left and right ALT buttons are actually different, so it may be that Firefox is only programmed for one or the other. Or I could be smoking something, you never know with what the local lunch corner places put in their sandwiches to keep you coming back;)

spotdog14, go through System->Preferences->keyboard shortcuts
see if that shortcut is already set.
Just so you know, the shortcut work fine for me so something must be weird with your setup. I have no idea why the alt wouldn't work.
yup...something funky in your setup, both ALTs work for me.

Ok, so when i do <Control><Alt><L> it is suppose to lock the screen and when i do it with the left alt it works fine, but when i do it with the right alt it does not work.... So i guess it is not seeing my right alt.... any ideas?
