Okay now that I know what to do about my RAM, I have another problem to throw at you guys. I have a E1505 Notebook with Dual Core Processor and a Wireless 1500 Draft 802.11n WLAN Mini-Card and I bought a WRT300N Wireless-N Router To support it. It was all working fine and I was getting speeds of 215Mbps until I got a Virus and had to wipe my hard drive and ever since I have been getting speeds of 130Mbps or less and every 20 or 30 mins (if I am not connected to a cable) I end up being disconnected, but the funny part is that I cant use anything that uses a internet connection but my computer still shows I have a strong connection and I am still connected even after making sure all of the drivers and stuff was installed correctly and putting in a new wireless card. I have spent 10 hours with Dell and still have gotten no where. Please if you have any ideas feel free to post them.

This only occurs after 20-30 minutes or all the time?

Reseting the router....I cant even count how many times I have tried that....and the software that came with the wireless card....there was none......It was spose to be ready as soon as I opened the box..which it was. Every CD That I had...I used to install everything back on the system.
It happens about EVERY 20-30 mins of using the wireless card.

I remember reading a similar post here a few days back and the fix turned out to be updated/newer or different drivers for the Draft-N card... I wish I remembered that thread... I'll see if I can dig it up..

I have this same issue with the dell 1470 or whatever card that came in my xps2. at least it isn't the intel card. It will do the same thing. show its connected, but its not, and trying to repair or disable and re-enable the card just freaks it out for a bit and then no avail, even though it might STILL show it connected. this isn't pre-n. its g with a linksys g wireless router bought in september. now my older linksys router that i installed at my parents' house when i bought this one, works with NO problems. other wireless cards (dlink pcmcia and usb, and a belkin pcmcia) on my other 3 laptops have no problems WHEN my xps2 is freaking out. weird. I've heardtell that SWITCHING the CHANNEL helps. i'm going to try that out after i install the newest firmware, which i did last in october.

Great! So I am not the only one with this problem! So do you think it is needed to get the external linksys card? When I talked to dell they switched the channel and I am still having problems, but go ahead and try and if it works, tell me, and I will try again. :)
