Where are the memory slots on the Inspiron 8000?

I have an old Inspiron 8000 with 256 MB ram.
I want to upgrade it to 2x256 MB, but I can't seem to find the memory slot.
I have looked under the batter compartment and under the little lid on the bottom.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
