I am trying to install Risk (the original) under wine 0.9.22 under Ubuntu Edgy. It works fine except it gives me an error with something to do with the audio, and when i try to turn audio to emulation under the winecfg i just crashes.

Anyways if Risk did indeed install where did it install to?

Thanks!

In your home directory there is a .wine folder most likely. It would have installed to there.

Wine is not the easiest thing to get working in any circumstance, though I reccomend taking a good long look at the commandline output and seeing if you can find missing .dlls you need to install before calling it a loss.

If you have $15 to spare virtually everything i've thrown at cedega has worked and it's super easy to setup.

bt is on the right track. cedega is pretty awesome @ what it does. be careful though if you have ATI....some games will still give you beef. like GTA:VC / SA / 3 will only work under nvidia.
