Although this case doesn't represent the first time a thief has been tracked down by the very item he / she swiped, it does mark the first time in the history of SETI@home that the number crunching actually discovered something substantial. Eh i saw that b4... I think the guy should be charged for a year in prison. That seems reasonable and realistic.

what is funny is that a lot of people don't know that newer laptops (like Dell M1710) come with lojack built into the bios in the form of computrace.
