Anybody see this? Don't know how much (if any) it means in the real world:

Not really that big of a difference. The biggest thing to ask yourself is... Does my 32bit software running in "Emulation Mode" under Vista64 run faster then it would in 32bit "native" mode? That's the real question at the moment. If it runs the same or slower then it's a lost cause in terms of Vista64 benefit over Vista32 at the current moment.

Well, in my case, my 32bit software is tax software which completely doesn't matter. I'm more interested in security. But, the OS itself runs faster than XP did, for sure.

I remember my 3DMark score with XP (it's on here!). I going to run it again with Vista 64, same hardware. Will post...I'm curious now :)

Ran 3DMark 05, same settings, same hardware:

XP: 2809
Vista32: ?
Vista64: 2559

I'm real curious what 32 bit Vista would do in comparison. I'm not going to wipe my system to find out :).

Can anyone else post their results between V32 and XP?

I'm loading HL2 now to see if there is any real world difference.

BTW: My Ferrari 4005 is stock with 1 gig of ram.
