Does anyone have experience with cooling pads for their F4000?

I was thinking of getting this, http://www.zalman.co.kr/eng/product/view.asp?idx=224&code=030, because my F4000 gets quite hot when playing games.

This is roughly the temps for my F4000:
Idle = ~45-50c
Full Load = ~80c

How much do you think it will lower the temp by getting the Zalman ZM NC1000?

I'd say you should first try to undervolt, as it will cool off your cpu much better than the cooling pad. Look in the notebook guides section, there's a great guide on how to do it.

Already tried that and decided that it's easier to just get the cooling pad instead of trying to get the best possible voltage.

I'm currently using the Zalman Cooler. It's quiet and the cooling performance is worth the money spent. Here are my temperatures:
Idle : 35 ~ 39
After five hours of BF2142 : 60~61
Hope this helps...

What are the temperatures without using the pad?

Just a headsup for everyone, my ferrari's been running warm/hot for the past couple months and finally a couple days ago I took the keyboard off (unscrew the keyboard screw on the bottom in the ram compartment, then used a small flathead screwdriver at the top right and left of the keyboard to release it) then I used some compressed air and cleaned out the fan and vent and in between components and since then it's been running at 30 degrees celcius while do basic stuff like msn, wifi, browsing. For once my fan is blowing out cold air !!

It takes 3 and half minutes sitting down for you to do that. Buying a cooling pad involves money and time either going to a store or buying online.

But do what you gotta do.

it's not just the cooling aspect, I like a 'angle' to my notebook when using on a desk. I'm currently using an iLap which is pretty solid. Yes, undervolting is easy....but with Vista 64 I'm using the balanced power setting in CP and at least it throttles down 2 or 3 steps when I'm not doing much....down to 800mhz when idling. Basically what RMclock was doing for me when I had XP

I just tried the vacumn cleaner.

Took the dvd drive out and put it on the table and sucked it dry :)

It's now on a stable 66C (went to 68C for a very very short period of time when I opened both superpi and prime95, but down to 66C again within a few seconds).

So from ~80C to 66C is pretty good :)

That's not bad. My old Turion ML-30 idled from 45-50 and maxed out at 67, so considering yours is much faster than that you have nothing to worry about. Unless these temps make ur laptop unbearable to touch, otherwise ur well within the threshold of the cpu.
