The fan on my system, which I bought last July (still under warranty) has started to make a horrific noise. I've opened it up and see no obstructions around the fan, so I think it's probably the ball bearings.
The question is, as I'm in the middle of finals and need to write research papers for Uni (meaning I can't send it out for a week or more), should I just replace the fan myself? How much does Acer charge for shipping to/from their facility? Maybe the price of a fan is comparable...
Where is their repair facility? (I'm currently at Santa Cruz, CA)

ps: I tried calling Acer support and the recording says "you may be charged $35" for the call if outside of 90 days since purchase (wtf), then they put me on hold so i just hung up
