I finally for Beryl running but I am having some interesting results. When I click to load up a terminal, the window pops up but there is not cursor inside, just a white box. Another interesting aspect is, there is not border around it either. I will fiddle with it see if I can figure it out.
make sure emerald is loaded

What distro are you running? If you are running pclinuxos, it should work automatically... And if you are using K/Ubuntu, I sent you a website in a different thread thats completley automated and that problem should happen. If you did it manually,
Try this:
In Section "Screen" in your etc/X11/xorg.conf add this:
Code:
Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True"

added that code same result :(.. when I enable beryl the top bar goes away and makes it impossible to move windows around.
make sure emerald is loaded like i said before...its responsible for bars.
Under Beryl settings manager - Visual Effects
Make sure window decorations are turned on.
also how about not making 3 threads about the same exact thing

My mistake, I was so excited when I got Ubuntu working again, that I posted right away. Cant a guy be happy once he gets his box working after screwing it up real bad. :)

It's ok to get excited. Don't make 3 different topics though. It just gets irritating to the other users.
And congrats to you for getting beryl to work!
