I have a problem with eManager on my Acer Aspire 5220 series (5021) I’ve had the machine 2 years and have not had any benefit from the emanager facilities. Everytime I start the laptop I get an Event application log message ANBMService fails event id 0, the message says “The local computer may not have the necessary registry info or message DLL file to display message from a remote computer. Socket error #10013 Access denied”. I’ve tried re-installing eManager but same problem. The problem may be linked to eSettings fault, whenever I click the eSetting button I always get an application event error id 1000. “faulting application esetting.exe, version 3.0.19.34, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 5.1.2600.2945, fault address 0x00012a5b”. Can anybody suggest what is wrong and how to repair these applications. I'm not entirely sure how useful the eManager applications are: ePresentation, eRecovery and eSettings, is there a way to disable them all together.
