Well this is my first reveiew I have wrote, and this is also the first Mac I have ever owned. I currently also own a Alien Ware M5550, IBM t42, Asus Z70VA and an HP Dv5000. Hands down this PowerBook blows them all away in ever aspect of computing. I will never own another system now after running Mac X 10.0 on this. The performance is amazing, the quality of build is above and beyond what I could expect from any PC. Everything I seem to touch just goes smooth, from setting up the airport wireless to my network, from installing and running my software, trasfering all of my IPOD music over to this etc etc. I am literally amazed. I got this notebook fully loaded, the only upgradeable options was one more step up in the processor speed, a high gloss screen and 3gb ram instead of 2gb. I paid $2400 final with a nice $200 rebate for students. The entire ordering process, shipping and packing was above the quality I have ever seen anywhere else. I thought it would take time to learn another operating system. I turned this on and It felt I was right at home, everything was so easy, right there it seemed. I will write more as I use the notebook.

Just to clarify something: Your Mac doesn't have 10.0 on it. You're running 10.4 now. OS X Tiger 10.4 to be specific. The next version of OS X is Leopard or 10.5 :)
Congrats; glad you like it :D

A "powerbook" with "3gb of Ram"?? Is this not the macbook pro? Sorry to nit pick but I've got a mate who's got the powerbook 15 and he is forcing me to question this lol (held at gun point :gun2: ;))
Congrats on the new apple; whatever it be- I was the same after a week on my first mac I never really wanted to go back.

Im sorry fellas, your right, that was my mistake. It is a MacBook Pro, dont know where I got that from? Anyway, the more I use this the more I love it, its just a major switch from a PC to this, nothing has given me one problem as of yet, and it seems a system locking up is a thing of the past now. I had problems with my AW M5550 the day I got it, and I got that system loaded down, and yes, your correct on the version of the OS that was a teeny mistake too.......One thing I dont think I could ever do without now is the backlit keyboard. That is just awsome.

No Problem. Yes I like having a mac and a PC, the best of both worlds. Too bad my mac is slow so I only really use it for music. Its a 1999 iMac. I just really like how easy everything is placed on macs, and the little bar on the bottom that keeps all of your apps and stuff. Congrats again
