LCD question.

Could an Inspiron 9400LCD work in an Inspiron 9200 ?

The problem is :
I sold a Dell 9400 LCD screen on ebay, and the buyer mounted it in a Dell Inspiron 9200.
I'm sure the screen worked ok when I disconnected it.
The screen works on his laptop, only he has no backlight.

How can he resolve this ?
Are there known issues when changing the LCD ?

There may be incompatibilies with the 9200 considering they use a different base design than the 9300.
