tried recompiling many times with many other options. still wouldnt work.

very instrested in using LR's
since its all source.
wanna see how it performs
with the M9 drivers plus games.

I have build LR-s IggY 3.1 with no problems on 5660. Did you managed to build it ? If it failed at reboot, try leaving out the TV chips, firewire and pcmcia. Then ya can patch your kernel and try to get the other devices going. As a general rule recompile your kernel using Modules. And don't load them at boot, insert them manually and tail -f /var/log/debug and messages everytime to check if it works or not. Then tou will have a perfect config. Sorry wish i had a 888X....
Good luck, let us know...

pain in the ass

so many libs, other requirements,
plus configuration is hell.

i may just switch back to the latest mandrake release
and boot these type of *nixes on a separate partition,
to experiment and all.

would be nice if one could compile it
then make a distro out of it?
how would one do that?
