Acer Travelmate 800 review?

Will you do a photo-review of the Acer Travelmate 800 notebook? Are you going to offer them on your products page? What is your overall impression of this computer?

Well, when it's plugged in, it gets close to the video performance of the Sager and other high end laptops. It doesn't have the procesing power, but for that you get a very light notebook. I think the LCD angle views are very poor for a high end laptop and for its price.
Its battery life is great, the docking station is really nice, and it's a very solid machine with some cool features and software. It has a desktop program it comes with linked directly to the bios where you can change settings. It doesn't come with all the other software crap though that nobody wants which is a plus. It's pretty expensive though and why we haven't decided 100% to put it up yet. Also, to get the great battery life, it defaults to powerplay enabled which kills video performance on batteries. We've sold a few and people are very happy with them. We can offer them cheaper than I've been able to find them anywhere else and in a 1.3 and 1.6GHZ versions.

It's biggest negatives are the LCD and price and it would be nice if there was a faster processor offered (Not Acer's fault, Intels =).

I might do a stand alone review on it with a break down soon.

Thanks for the quick response! How is the build quality on these computers? Did you test the performance of the built in wireless card? Were you able to check the battery life with the Powerplay disabled?

it would be cool to have a deep review with the optional battery in too as i would love to know how many hours you can get out of it doing very heavy cpu load.:smash:
