I love the m60, but recently whenever i change the resolution to something other than 1920x1200 (i think) the screen actually gets smaller and i get a black box around the image. Before, the new resolution would stretch to fit my screen but i can not figure out where to change that setting. TIA rock on...
Also what drivers should i use for the quadro. :cheers:

On my I8200 to fix the black box problem I use the Fn key + F7, the Font system function.

Not sure then, might check Dell forums for help. I see there that the people in the know are running Nvidia 44.90 drivers with their M60. No reason given but that's what I've seen.
My M60 will hopefully be here this week, it's still 'In Production".

No ghosting at all, best screen i have ever seen. And since everyone on my floor has a laptop of some kind i have some good comparisons. I can take a picture but i will have to email it to u... No hosting abilities

Thanks for the info. My Sony GRX570 with a Hitachi 16" has very bad viewing angles and ghosting, and I wanted my next notebook to have a better LCD so when I saw the new AW 51m had a 16" Hitachi with poor viewing angle specs I decided to wait for reviews before buying it. I really want a centrino notebook so I might get the m60 or wait for dothan.

Yup, best screen, no ghosting. The laptop is nice. Although its a little on the large side. I will be picking up either a Sony Tr1a or Sony U101 in the near future.

Went to CompUSA today to look at notebook screens. By far the best one was on the Sony TR1A with the new XBrite tech, which is good news for anyone still waiting for the Sony GRT190G (or better) to come out. The Compaq x1000 on display had a low-res and ghosted but the x1015 next to it had a higher resolution, much less ghosting and better viewing angles. The newest PowerBooks had average screens but WOW the nicest keyboards I have ever seen! I wish they ran windows and weren't so slow, maybe they will announce some G5 PowerBooks in Paris. With fuel cell, Dothan, Prescott, 64-Bit, new video cards and LCDs, 2004 is going to be an amazing year for notebooks.

Yeah but every year is supposed to be amazing and revolutionize the industry... But they should have some cool stuff. I hope the dothan is compatible with the old centrino mobos.
Oh and i fixed the problem. I installed some new Nvidia drivers and i was able to change the options so the screen would stretch to fit the screen

Q:How do I add or remove the black border around the screen?
A:Short answer - Press Fn + F7
A:Long answer - If a resolution is used which is lower than the maximum (optimal) resolution your LCD is capable of
displaying, the fonts may appear blocky or blurry and difficult to read. Your video driver allows for the video card to
display such a resolution in a compressed format. By placing a black border around the outside of the screen, fonts will
become smaller but readable. To toggle from this Compressed Mode into the larger Expanded Mode press the Fn and F7 keys at
the same time. If your Inspiron uses the NVIDIA GeForce2 Go video adapter, and pressing the Fn and F7 keys does not resolve
the issue, follow the procedure below:
Click the Start button, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
The Control Panel window appears.
Double-click the Display icon.
Open Display Properties, and go to the Settings tab.
Click the Advanced button.
Click the TwinView tab.
Click the Device Settings button and click Screen Adjustment.
Click the radio button next to Use display adapter scaling and then click Apply.
The screen should now be
stretched to cover the entire LCD, regardless of the resolution.
