Hey,
just wanted to see what everyone thought of this notebook. I havent really had any experience with Acer in the past. Also, it seems to be out of stock in most places, although it just debuted last month?

I just picked that website cause it had all the specs neatly organized.
thanks,

I looked at one at a local Best Buy. The machine looks cheaply made. The case feels like cheap plastic and very flimsy, and the keyboard flexes considerably. The screen has a fuzzy look to it too. All in all, you get what you pay for.

Yes, the specs are nicely organized. It'd be nice to have some sort of standard format for listing specs, make comparisons a lot easier.
But as for getting what you pay for, if indeed the machine is cheaply made, you certainly are not getting what you pay for, and even if its superbly made, take a look at the SAGER 3750 which has nearly identical specifications.

The Acer should have better gaming capabilities with the Radeon 9200 card.
I'd go to a best buy and check the quaility out for yourself, your view may be different than others.

I'm going to buy a new notebook but I can't decide which one. Actually I'm choosing between Acer Aspire 2000 (as2003lmi) and Acer TravelMate 800 (803lci).
What do you think? What's better - relatively old model TM, or new Aspire?

Hey, I was wondering if you made a decision between the two notebooks you mentioned. I am also considering both said notebooks and would also like some input. I have used 2 different Travel Mates for the past 5-6 years and have had pretty good luck but the new Aspire is very appealing. Any input from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
