"hi. today suddently after burning a dvd, my laptop shut down. and afer that whenever i turn it on it gives me a blue screen and restarts. but the screen comes and goes away too fast that i cant even see what it says.

i can get to the safe mode but that does no good either. same thing happens (first 2 bars come on xp loading screen then blue screen comes)

i still have the xp install cd. but when i try the recovery or anything. it says "no hard disc's found" and leaves me the only option exit.

what do i do? "

:scratch:I have a amilo 1705 and when i switch the laptop on the fan kicks in and the lights come on but nothing comes up on the screen. i took the laptop tp my local computer repair shop and they said the graphics card has gone. i then took the laptop to a friend of mine and he removed the memory and the hard drive and put it back in and it worked fine for a bit and it stopped working again can any1 shed any light on this for me. i dont mind replacing components if needed but i want to be sure of the falt dont just want to put money in to it if componants dont need replacing. thanks dan
