I know on the toshiba line of computers you can boot from usb by holding down the "U" button while booting... works for the external floppy drive anyway. Not tried to boot from a hard drive usb.
The 5670-c is the same price.... maybe some of the options droped or the CPU price dropped on the high end models? I dunno.
I guess it would be one way to FORCE laptop makers to use Pen-m or P-4 mobile....
